R OFTTT THE WEEK (more on Classic Car Pages)

Dear Visitor,

I am pleased to introduce USASTATESDATES, a free non-political nor religious oriented website about American general historical events and facts, timeline organized per state.

The idea to create this web site grew because of my personal general interest in the USA. Most probably due to the many years of employment to American companies in Europe and extensive travel in many states, including a historic New York Twin-Towers rooftop visit and a New Orleans Natchez boat ride, before Katrina's visit.

USASTATESDATES is focused to visitors of all ages and backgrounds, but all with a common interest in the historic evolution of the United States of America, more in particular in the 'growth-process' of a specific state. It is all about native Americans, pioneers and settlers, military presence, local governments, creation of towns and lay-out of infrastructure, religious tendencies, cultural, economic and industrial development, and much more.

For practical reasons I limited the period covered to 100 years, the median for each state being the year of ratification to the Constitution. Analyzing or comparison of this data, highlights the different priorities applied by the inhabitants of a state and the speed of changes in a specific area.

Each date event and fact description is brief, clear and comprehensive, however for the visitor who wants to learn more about a person, subject or location, I refer to the local links, they provide additional information about the topic, ranging from detailed literature up to complete travel assistance. For those tempted to visit a state, county or town I included the major attractions and recreation areas.

Each USASTATESDATES event and fact is a compilation-resumé by the editor, of information careful choosen from various reliable sources, libraries, local historical societies and official sites. Due to the enormous quantity of information available and time consuming research work, the USASTATESDATES site will be regularly updated...a reason to visit us often.

Recently implemented CLASSIC CAR pages, strongly recommend to have a look at these eye-catching beauties, part of American heritage too.

To back up my personal motto "Everyting is susceptible for improvement" I welcome your critics and comments, to improve the quality and attractiveness of the USASTATESDATES site.

Greetings from a Belgian native with US roots living in southern France...enjoy your USA visit and come back soon.
