Volunteer Infantry. Received the Congressional Medal
of Honor for gallantry on the battlefield at the siege
of Port Hudson in Louisiana, and served a s Captain
of the Massachusetts militia. Died on November 24, 1929
in Washington, D.C., interment in Lakeview Cemetery,
Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming.
